This playlist invites you to actively engage with the European Union, helping you understand how the EU works and how you can participate in shaping the future of youth policies. Through a series of activities, you will explore your rights as an EU citizen, contribute to youth dialogue at local, national, and EU levels, engage in digital platforms for meaningful discussions, support campaigns that matter to you, and take part in EU simulations and workshops.

Each activity helps you develop essential skills like communication, negotiation, co-operation, critical thinking, and civic-mindedness, skills vital to play an active role in EU-related discussions and decisions that impact young people. Whether you’re exploring your rights, advocating for youth issues, or participating in simulations that mirror real EU decision-making, this playlist is designed to help you connect with the EU and make your voice heard.

This playlist supports and encourages learning, recognition, and action contributing to the European Youth Goal #1: Connecting EU with Youth.

How to get started:

  1. Choose the activity that interests you most and participate in activities available in your local area or online.
  2. Apply for each badge by completing the required tasks and submitting your evidence through the platform.
  3. Once you’ve completed all the activities and earned your badges, you’ll automatically receive the playlist badge, recognising your overall achievement and contribution to the European Youth Goal No. 1: Connecting EU with youth.

Ever wanted to have your say on the issues that matter most to you? This activity gives you the chance to speak up and be heard—whether it’s in your town, your country, or even the EU itself!


The EU Youth Dialogue is all about making sure young people like you can directly influence policies that impact your future. From local youth councils to national consultations, all the way to online events where you can talk to EU decision-makers, this activity gives you the tools to make sure your voice is at the heart of it all.


First, get inspired!

Take a look on how initiatives and dialogue can provide a change in the European Union. Your voice counts and by collaborating with other young adults, you can provide the change you want :The European Citizens’ Initiative:


Tune into a podcast where young activists from across Europe share their experiences of joining youth dialogues and getting their ideas into the spotlight.This is an example on how young people managed to present their rights and views in the COP26:



Now, take action:

You’ll start locally and build up to the national and European levels, so whether you want to tackle issues in your city or contribute to EU-wide policies, this activity has got you covered!

  • Start locally: Find out how you can join a youth council or local event where young people come together to discuss what matters most to them. From education to climate change, this is your chance to speak up! Attend a local youth dialogue event and share your thoughts on key issues. Be bold—this is your moment to shine!
  • Join the national conversation: Wondering how your local ideas can turn into national action? Learn how youth dialogue moves from your community to the national stage, where youth representatives debate, consult, and propose solutions. You’ll get the chance to connect with national youth organisations and make sure your voice is heard on a bigger scale. Find and connect with a national youth organisation involved in the EU Youth Dialogue. Attend a national event or consultation, and reflect on how the discussions at the national level match up with the issues facing your local community.
  • Take it to the European level: Ready to go big? The EU Youth Dialogue lets you take part in discussions that shape policies for all young people across Europe. Learn how to join online consultations, share your thoughts, and meet decision-makers who want to hear from you. Participate in an online EU Youth Dialogue event or consultation. Bring your ideas, listen to others, and help shape youth policy at the European level.
