This activity will walk you through the youth rights that you should know and exercise in Europe, helping you access the opportunities you deserve.
Whether you’re looking to travel, study, work, or simply make your voice heard, you have rights that protect and empower you as a young person living in the EU. This activity is designed to make sure that everyone—regardless of their background—can understand and make the most of these rights.
First, get inspired!
Watch an easy-to-understand video explaining your rights as an EU citizen, especially focusing on how these rights can help you overcome barriers related to education, work, and travel:
Listen to a podcast where young people from different backgrounds share their experiences accessing the EU programme Erasmus+, showing how these opportunities helped them take control of their future: Spotify Podcast
Now, take action!
Through these activities, you’ll learn about your rights and explore how they can open doors for you—no matter where you come from. You’ll gain confidence in using these rights to make real changes in your life and community:
- Discover youth rights: Take a quiz designed to show you about the key rights that apply to you as a young person living in the EU. Understand how these rights can help you break down barriers related to where you live, your financial situation, or your access to education.
- Discover EU opportunities for youth from all backgrounds: Learn about EU Programmes like Erasmus+, the Youth Guarantee, and the European Solidarity Corps offering free or fully funded opportunities for education, volunteering, and work placements to young people regardless of their abilities and backgrounds.
- Take action in your city or town: Use what you’ve learned to identify an issue that affects young people in your community. Organise a small event or project that raises awareness about youth rights and the support available, especially for those with fewer opportunities.
