A constantly changing world requires youth workers to be well-prepared to work openly with young people supporting them best to create their career pathways.
You will visit Antakalnis open youth centre, "Zalianamis", to learn about their career guidance and education approach.

The partners in 3 Cities of Learning – Vilnius, Minsk and Riga – created an innovative and comprehensive methodology for career guidance in diverse youth work settings. Five partners contributed to this resource: Žalianamis (LT) – the lead partner, IT for Everybody (BY), Young Folks (LV), Madrus (LT), Badgecraft Ireland (IE). Learn more about this partnership and its results here.

This workbook is for youth workers who want to engage in career-focused education activities. They can replicate the individual parts and ready to use activities described in the workbook. It is a tool for everyday work that you can always have in your creative hands, changing or adding something new.

The Cities of Learning platform and digital tools such as Open Badges supported this methodological approach. You can use learning playlists to make a unique programme of your own using the methods and information from the workbook and transforming learning into the digital environment. At the end of each activity, learners can collect digital badges of their achievements.

Additionally, during this visit, you will get familiar with "Antakalnis stories" - an initiative to discover the local area, its history and stories.

This activity is a part of a Cities of Learning study visit organised from 16 to 21 May 2022 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The study visit is realised within the Erasmus+ co-funded strategic partnership "Online 21st century skills education".
